Come Talk to Us: Apps and Other e-Tools for Managing Diabetes

May 10, 2017

The Quality of Care team and our partners at Eastern Health and Memorial University are in the very early stages of figuring out new ways to help people with type 2 diabetes live more healthy lives, and we’d like your input. We are hosting an engagement session for people with type 2 diabetes to talk about their interest in using e-technology (e.g., Apps for smartphones, ipads) to help improve lifestyle behaviors like diet and physical activity. In order to do this, we think it is very important to talk to people with diabetes about the key challenges they face and what they think could be helpful, particularly whether e-technology could help.

We are hosting an informal, interactive discussion and demonstration of some apps/e-tools for feedback. The session will take place Tuesday, May 30th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Craig Dobbin Research Centre (new MUN, Medical School building). Refreshments will be provided. Anyone living outside of St. John’s is welcome to take part via teleconference.
